Diploma with top marks at the Padova Conservatory, he has study with Alirio Diaz, Alexandre Lagoya, Siegfried Behrend, José Luis Lopategui.
Since 1978, he has been playing in the major cities of Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, Poland, Belarus, Romania, Hungary, England, Ireland, Holland, Sweden, Finland, Morocco, Greece, Malta, Libya, United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, China, Indonesia, Australia.
In September 2001 he was invited by the New York University to play in a Recital as a tribute to the victims of the World Trade Centre.
In 2007 in Plaza de las Artes, in front of an audience of 4,000 people, Lafasciano represents Italy at the Euro Jazz festival of Mexico City (Event organized under the auspices of the European Union).
Many of his performances and interviews have been broadcast by Radio and Tv channels worldwide: Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana, Vatican Radio, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Televisione della Svizzera italiana, Osterreich Rundfunk, Radio Romania Music Channel, Belarussian National Radio and Television, 2M Morocco Television, Libya Tv, Dalian Television of China, Radio Republik Indonesia, Rete Italia of Australia, Radio and Television Channels of Mexico and Guatemala, and others.
Lafasciano has held Master Classes and Workshops at Conservatories and Universities throughout Italy, France,Germany, Rumania, Poland, Belarus, Malta, Morocco, China, Indonesia, Mexico.
He is Jury member at various international guitar competitions.
Interesting his meetings with Andrés Segovia, who allowed him to play his guitar, and John W.Duarte who dedicated him one of his compositions.
His artistic career has led him to share the stage with many artists among wich: the classical guitarist Siegfried Behrend, the Deutsche Zupforchester with the mandolinist Takashi Ochi, the Solistes de l’Ensemble Orchestral de Genéve, the violinist Marco Fornaciari, the flutist Marlaena Kessick, the jazz pianist Enrico intra, the jazz guitarist Franco Cerri, the drummer and pop singer Tullio De Piscopo, the actor Alessandro Quasimodo.
He has recorded albums and published works for various music publishing companies in Italy and Germany.
Since 1990 is regulary invited by foreign Embassies in representation of Italy abroad.
In 2007, Lafasciano was Endorser for the spanish classical guitars “Camps”.
He has been teaching guitar at the conservatories of Udine and Campobasso.
